Covid-19 Response

To our PGC family,

With the ongoing concerns regarding Coronavirus (Covid-19), we want you to know that the safety of our guests and staff will be our top priority.  We feel it is important to share with you what new steps, precautions and procedures we will be implementing this season to keep you safe and feeling confident when you visit us this fall at Pineridge.

To ensure your and everyone’s safety, we are closely following the direction of the CDC, federal, state and local agencies.  We will have reinforced hand washing procedures, antibacterial dispensers will be placed in high traffic areas, bathrooms, cabins, and in front of each entrance to our lodge to promote the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our facility. We will also be taking extra precautions with regard to monitoring our staff should anyone feel the least bit ill they will be asked to stay home. We will be educating them on the proper precautions to take for themselves while doing their job and interacting with you as our guests.

We have hired a dedicated person solely to enhanced the daily cleaning of the lodge and high traffic areas. Again, our number one priority is to maintain a safe environment to keep you and our staff safe.

A few things will look and operate differently than they have in the past seasons.  We have removed the self-serve coffee station, and will have a dedicated person serving coffee each morning. Breakfast will no longer be served buffet style, but will be served as a plated breakfast.   The guides will be given individually and separately packed lunches for each guest. We will be doing a hearty, freshly smoked sandwich served on a homemade artisan bread, pickle wedge, chips, whole fruit and a sweet snack for dessert.  On days that it may be a little brisk in the field we will be adding a homemade soup to warm your soul.  You will also see more single use plastics this year per the Minnesota Department of Health recommendations.  Appetizers in the evening will be plated and served by our staff.  We have also added a bartender in the evening to ensure we have limited access to such a high contact area. The kitchen will be limited to our chef and servers, no guests or guides will be allowed to enter.   Weather permitting this fall the porches and fire pit will help ensure social distancing.  Your patience and respect while we navigate these operational changes will be greatly appreciated.

Your cabins will look a bit different as well this season.  We have removed area rugs and fabric decorative shower curtains.  All bath towels, bedding, mattress pad covers, comforters will be washed at the highest heat setting. Hand towels will be replaced with single use towels.  As added precaution to our staff, per CDC regulations, our staff will not be entering cabins during the duration of your stay.  Should you need anything please let our staff know and they will take care of any additional items you may need.

In the event that a guest would show symptoms or fall ill during their visit to PGC we have a dedicated isolation room until medical attention can be assessed for the guest.  Ensuring both their safety and comfort and that of all other guests.

We understand that circumstances may not permit for all guest, but it is strongly encouraged for you to follow your assigned guide to the cover in your vehicle.  Our guides are here the entire season.  This will ensure limiting contact for both you and our guides.  If you have to ride with your guide their vehicle will be wiped down before and after your hunt.   All guides will have hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes available to you in their vehicle.

We are monitoring this situation very closely as it evolves and develops. We know there is so much uncertainty with everything surrounding these unprecedented times. Your health and the health of our staff will be at the forefront of everything we do this upcoming season.  We hope that our diligence in this situation will provide you some comfort during these difficult circumstances.  Thank you for your patience, trust and continued support.

Lastly, we want to leave you knowing that here at Pineridge Grouse Camp our focus is still about the dogs, the birds, the double guns, bourbon and memories that will last a lifetime.

Warm regards,
Jerry, Brenda & Big Al
